writer Ana María Matute, will receive today, the most prestigious prize in English literature from King Don Juan Carlos. The ceremony will be held in the auditorium of the University of Alcalá de Henares.

Ana Maria Matute, Barcelona 85, is the third woman to receive the Cervantes in more than three decades of the history of this award, after the English philosopher María Zambrano Alarcón and the Cuban poet Dulce María Muñoz Loynaz .
